The David Maus Foundation is a non-profit, philanthropic foundation that focuses on helping children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through contributions to charities in Central Florida.

The David Maus Foundation was founded in 2004 with a group of volunteers passionate about making a difference. The first event, which was named The 1st Annual David Maus Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament, raised over $40,000 for the Seminole County Boys and Girls Club and Camp Boggy Creek.

Since that first event we continue to hold the Golf Tournament event as an annual event and have added additional ones to our schedule, such as:

  • The Bagels, Bacon and Biceps Brunch to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation of Central Florida
  • Raffling off a Camry Hybrid to sponsor two major Ronald McDonald House fundraising events, the Clambake and the Share A Night, Light A Light events which raised over $300,000 together

Our donations to the Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Florida have given us the opportunity to underwrite two rooms, one at each house; sponsor the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Clambake events and the 2007 and 2008 Share A Night, Light A Light fundraising events. These donations allow families of children in the local hospitals a place to stay free of charge so that the family may concentrate on the wellness of their child.

Becoming a part of the Florida Children’s Hospital is very rewarding for our Board and volunteers. The money we have raised through the Foundation have allowed the Hospital to purchase much needed supplies for the children currently receiving treatment as well as help fund medical research.

Donations made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Central Florida has given children with life-threatening illnesses a chance to have their “wish” come true when visiting the Orlando area as many children wish for.

To date, the David Maus Foundation has raised over $500,000 for local Central Florida charities. The David Maus Foundation is supported by people of the Central Florida community, people who realize that everyone can make a difference; all they have to do is try. Our goal will always be to help children with life threatening illnesses and their families and we couldn’t do it without your support.
